What is handover?

Our handover service supports safe, calm transitions of children between parents or carers when direct contact is difficult or not appropriate. Handover provides a neutral setting where children can be dropped off and collected without parents needing to meet, helping to reduce conflict, anxiety, and stress for everyone involved. The focus is always on the child’s wellbeing, ensuring handovers are handled smoothly, respectfully, and with care.

How does handover work?

Our handover service works by providing a neutral, supervised location where children can be safely dropped off and collected. A trained member of our team oversees each handover, ensuring that both the child and parents feel secure and supported. Parents do not need to meet each other, and the process is structured to be calm, consistent, and predictable, helping children feel reassured while reducing potential conflict between adults.
